This week’s art quote:
Painting, n.: The art of protecting flat surfaces from the weather, and exposing them to the critic.
Ambrose Bierce Journalist 1842-1914
I hope you enjoy my colorful, whimsical and sometimes mystical artwork. Enjoy whimsy in Abstract and String Theory. Celebrate the beauty of nature and the vibrancy of color in Voluptuous Fruits and Up Close and Simplified expressions of flowers and still-lifes. Come with me to New England, France, England, Italy and the Caribbean via my Landscapes. Relax in my serene Moody, Misty & Mystical views.
Having painted in New England, France, Italy, Japan and Puerto Rico, I explore their great geographic variation in colors, textures and play of light.
My art is an expression on canvas of the engagement of the senses: the visual impact of nature's beauty, the aroma of flowers, the warmth of the sun or the coolness of a breeze.
